Dear friend,

Welcome to The Collected Works of Sri Bhaktivinod Thakur!

My name is Dr. Krishna Abhishek Ghosh. I am a lifelong student and academic specialist on the nineteenth-century spiritual author and visionary behind the worldwide bhakti movement, Sri Bhaktivinoda Thakur.

This Substack is a space devoted to his timeless writings that I have collected from various sources over a period of two decades, and have only used a tiny bit to write my doctoral dissertation at the University of Chicago titled Vaishnavism and the West.

Through this newsletter, I’ll be sharing translations, reflections, rare archival finds, and curated insights from his vast body of work—letters, essays, poems, and philosophical treatises that continue to illuminate the path of bhakti in our contemporary world. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner, a curious reader, or someone seeking nourishment for the soul, this space is for you.

Think of it as a growing digital sanga—a quiet corner of the internet where you can receive inspiration in your inbox, contemplate the heart of what it means to delight in bhakti (the meaning of bhakti-vinod), and reconnect with a living tradition grounded in both scholarly reasoning and meditative rapture.

Each post is an invitation to walk with Sri Bhaktivinoda Thakur: to read, reflect, and renew your own inner journey.

Subscribe. Share. Dialogue. Let’s rediscover his voice— together.

With gratitude and anticipation,
Dr. Krishna Abhishek Ghosh
